WORK EXPERIENCE
1999-present InvestorForce.com (formerly
PlanSponsorExchange.com), Wayne, PA
Director of Site Architecture, Technology Manager
- First technology hire and one of the first 10
employees.
- Led the effort to transition source code,
release management, and production support for the site from a vendor to a
rapidly growing internal development team.
- Designed a user registration and security
system utilizing custom COM objects, database schema, and ASP
standards. Led the migration of the site from Site Server to this new
system.
- Acted as development manager, site operations
manager, and configuration/build manager during changes in executive
management and until individuals were recruited to fill those roles.
- Designed a source code management methodology
to use Visual SourceSafe as a flexible release-tracking and automated build
system. Implemented enhancements to allow parallel testing and release
of multiple independent projects to a single web site.
- Technology lead on a knowledge management
product that coordinated input from three different vendors and evolved from
an outsourced solution to one built and maintained by internal staff.
- Provided support and advice to members of the
development team concerning architecture and design, technology choices, and
"legacy" code.
1998-1999 Southwestern Bell Cellular One (formerly Comcast
Cellular), King of Prussia, PA
MIS Team Leader
- Managed of a mixed team of up to thirteen employees and
consultants working disparate projects, including performance reviews. Key
participant in efforts to improve methodology and process.
- Provided technical leadership on projects for Finance, Sales
and Marketing, and other business groups as well for MIS itself. Responsibilities
included both management and technical tasks.
- Participated in multiple project phases including planning,
analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and support.
- Charter member of an Architecture Team tasked with reviewing
project solutions and technologies, and synthesizing a long-term strategic technology
vision for the department.
- Attended Microsoft TechEd 99 in Dallas, TX to evaluate and
compare current best practices for DNA development.

- For Delmarva Power (currently Conectiv), developed a Windows 95 install program
and client interfaces for ReachOut 7.0 (a remote access system) using WinBatch and Visual
Basic 3.0 on a Banyan Vines network.
- For Corestates Bank (currently First Union), developed active server pages, VB5 COM
objects, Access and Oracle 7 database interfaces, and user interface and object
documentation for an Internet banking project.
- For Comcast Cellular (currently Southwestern
Bell Cellular One), led the content development team
utilizing Microsoft DNA architecture to build Internet and intranet applications.
Designed interfaces and architecture, wrote code and documentation, managed up to 6
people, and participated in object design and data modelling. Technologies included
IIS 4.0, MTS 2.0, DCOM, and SQL Server 6.5.

- Developed a variety of custom and commercial software using
C++ and Visual Basic against the win16 and win32 APIs.
